Fair Credit Charity
United Kingdom
The Fair Credit Charity (FCC)’s vision is for a future where everyone has access to ‘fair credit’ – loans with reasonable interest rates, no hidden penalties and flexible repayments. Doing so, we believe, will help to alleviate and eradicate poverty and foster a society built on trust. To take practical steps, we founded the Community Interest Company (CIC), Fair for You, an ethical and responsible lender in 2015. To date 375,000 loans have been issued worth over £85m. The Charity still owns the CIC but wants to encourage more organisations like it.
To do that we need to influence financial, legislative and regulatory institutions to help create an ethical and responsible lending environment in which financially excluded people are better served.
We believe that financial services in the UK are prejudiced against far too many people and we want to use our knowledge and established experience of creating inclusive and ethical financial services to build an environment to enable all businesses serving financially excluded people to thrive.

Action for Happiness
United Kingdom
We’re on a mission to create a happier and kinder world and we’re looking for new Trustees to join our Board.
The mission of Action for Happiness is to help people create a happier world, with a culture that prioritises happiness and kindness.
We do this by helping people get together regularly (face-to-face where possible) to learn evidence-based skills for happier living, feel a sense of belonging and commit to personal action to create more happiness, both for themselves and others.
We have no religious, political or commercial affiliations and welcome people of all faiths (or none) and all parts of society. Members of the movement make a simple pledge: to try to create more happiness in the world.
Our patron is the Dalai Lama.

Transplant Sport
United Kingdom
Transplant Sport are the largest national charity promoting active recovery for transplant recipients and increasing awareness of the benefits of organ donation.

All have received a life saving transplant and celebrate their gift of life together. Some of our very sporty members also compete at the World Transplant Games for Team GB & NI.
We want to encourage all transplant recipients to get active and be healthy whilst promoting organ donation so we organise other activities (volleyball, racquets, golf etc) throughout the year. Taking part, regardless of ability, is what we’re about.

Climate Change Committee
United Kingdom
Are you passionate about ensuring the UK is ready to deal with the impacts of climate change? Do you want to be part of the leading independent body that provides advice to the UK and devolved governments on preparing for climate change?
The Adaptation Committee has two statutory roles under the UK Climate Change Act 2008. The first is to advise the UK government and devolved governments on its assessment of the risks and opportunities from climate change.
The second is to report to Parliament on its evaluation of the quality and implementation of actions in the UK government’s National Adaptation Programme (England and matters reserved to the UK government only). In addition, the devolved governments can make requests to the Adaptation Committee for evaluation of their national adaptation programmes under the Climate Change Act 2008 and other relevant devolved legislation.

The Bell Foundation was established in 2012 and over the last decade has grown significantly and is now recognized as an expert in English as a Second or Additional Language. Our vision is to create opportunities, change lives, and overcome exclusion through language education. We are delivering this vision through two different strategic programmes, targeting children with English as an Additional Language (EAL), and adults who speak English as a Second or Additional Language (ESOL). Through our work we aim to achieve system change to enable better outcomes for many vulnerable groups who use English as a Second or Additional Language, including women who have been trafficked, prisoners, victims of domestic abuse, unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, refugees, adult asylum seekers, children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, and migrant workers at risk of exploitation.

Young Lives vs Cancer
United Kingdom
We are the charity that helps children and young people (0-25) and their families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them.
We know everyone's different, so we work hard to provide support that’s easy to access and meets individual needs. We shape the work we do around six core principles.
It could be a financial grant for a parent struggling to keep their child warm through their treatment or for a young person who can’t afford to get to hospital. Or helping a family stay together at one of our free Homes from Home close to the hospital where their child is having treatment.
And if we think families aren’t being heard by the whole system, we’re not afraid to raise their voices or shout on their behalf. Children and young people with cancer deserve the same opportunities as anyone else. We’ll always have their back, because we’ve been there before.
Powered by the kindness of our supporters, we’ll face it all together.
Board Member/Trustee/Governor
Fair Tax Foundation
United Kingdom
The Fair Tax Foundation are a not-for-profit social enterprise. We were developed by a team of tax justice, corporate responsibility and ethical consumer experts and launched in 2014.
We believe businesses demonstrating responsible tax practices should be recognised and celebrated, and any global race to the bottom on corporate income tax resisted.
We have developed the Fair Tax Mark, the world’s first certification for responsible tax conduct, which is now widely regarded as being the gold standard for business worldwide. In the same way that the Organic, Fairtrade and Living Wage labels allow business to differentiate their products and operations, the Fair Tax Mark label provides progressive companies of all sizes with a tool to demonstrate responsible tax conduct to their customers and wider stakeholders.
