Reena Ranger
Reena is an experienced political leader with a successful career having been elected most recently to Hertfordshire County Council, where she serves as Deputy Executive Member for Highways and Transport and previously was the Deputy Executive Member for Public Health and Community Safety. She has been one of the elected District Councillors for Moor Park & Eastbury for the last decade. She was appointed co-chair of the Conservative Friends of India in 2020, an organisation which exists to strength and relations between The Conservative Party, British Indians, and India.
Alongside her political career, Reena is Chairwoman and Co-Founder of Women Empowered, social initiative that aims to inspire and help women (and men) to make the best of their individual talents and skills by connecting with successful and inspirational women (and men) for mentoring opportunities and learning about what may be possible.
She serves on the board of the British Indian and Jewish Association and was previously an advisory board member to the Prince’s Trust “Brilliant Breakfast Initiative” helping to reach diverse communities with the initiative. Reena is a recognised TedX speaker and interview partner to a variety of Asian media outlets. In 2019, Reena was awarded an OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list for services championing women with minority ethnic backgrounds.
She has honed her skills in international trade immersing herself in the successful family business covering various leadership roles in operations and strategy. Reena holds a BA in Business Studies & Marketing and a Post Graduate Diploma CPE Law Certificate. Reena was officially diagnosed with dyslexia in 2022 and is an outspoken advocate on bringing attention to neurodiversity in all spaces and especially in the workplace.
