Internationally recognized for cross-sector successes in philanthropy, education, and technology; Cordell is currently managing principal of Expectant Advisory, anequity-focused consulting collaborative, and the executive director of the Aspen Institute Socrates Program, a global education forum. Before his current roles, Cordell held leadership roles with the TechTown Foundation, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Business Roundtable, National Alliance for Public Charter Schools, and the IBM Corporation.Cordell’s expertise and global network have lead to significant board service. He currently serves on the Advisory Boards of Skillstorm, Fvlcrum Fund, Orbit Holdings, LLC, Concordia Summitand the Festival of the Diaspora, Inc. Previous board service includes the Advisory Council for the Center for Democracy and Technology, Alumni Council for Cultural Vistas, United Way of Greater Chattanooga, United Way of King County, Downtown Seattle YMCA and the SiskinHospital for Physical Rehabilitation.In June 2021, President Joseph Biden appointed Cordell to thePresident’s Commission on White House Fellowships.
